Max is a clarinettist from Luxembourg with a rich and varied career as a performer.
He is a member of United Instruments of Lucilin, where he forged a passion for performing at the forefront of music creation. The ensemble collaborates regularly with composers including Georges Aperghis, Philippe Manoury, Carola Bauckholz, Clara Iannota, Ed Bennett and many others.
Max often appears with Kammerata Luxembourg, Orchestre de Chambre du Luxembourg, and the Luxembourg Philharmonic, as well as projects that straddle classical, jazz and traditional music.
In addition to his work on stage, Max is committed to passing on his craft and is a clarinet teacher at the Luxembourg City Conservatoire.
After graduating from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, he spent over 10 years freelancing with some of the UK’s most respected orchestras, including the Philharmonia Orchestra, BBC Concert Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, and Royal Scottish National Orchestra. From 2014 to 2015, he served as Principal Clarinet of the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra.
He performs on Seggelke Clarinets and a Buffet Crampon Bass Clarinet.
